HAWAI`I INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL TO BE HELD NOVEMBER 2-16
One hundred films, mostly from Asia and the Pacific, will be presented in Hawai`i free of charge from November 2-16. PFS, as usual, will give an award to the film that best raises political consciousness. For more information, call the Festival office at (808) 528-3456; fax (808) 528-1410.

A POLITICS AND FILM SECTION FOR APSA?
During the American Political Science Association convention in Chicago, a petition circulated to obtain signatures of possible members of a Politics and Film Section within the American Political Science Association. If you are interested in becoming a charter member, whether you belong to APSA or not, please write to us, giving your name, address, telephone/fax/E-Mail information, and a pledge to join the Politics and Film Section when it becomes a reality.
SYLLABUS PROJECT LAUNCHED
One of the ideas raised at the Chicago 1995 PFS business meeting was to collect, bind, and reproduce syllabi for courses on political films. The following is now available:

To obtain a copy, simply send a $1 donation per paper requested to PFS, writing a check payable to the University of Hawai`i Foundation. If you have a syllabus to share, send a copy to the above address. All syllabus donors will receive all other syllabi free of charge.
