FINAL BALLOTING FOR BEST POLITICAL FILMS OF 2002

Many films were pre-nominated for Political Film Society awards for 2002. Since Political Film Society rules require the number of nominated films to be reduced to no more than five in each category, members voted in January to narrow the choices. Accordingly, the final ballot appears below:

FILMS DEBUTING IN 2003

Hollywood distributors place some films in cinemas during January when they do not expect them to receive Academy awards, but that does not mean that they are uninteresting politically. Check the Political Film Society website for reviews of several recent films, especially City of God.
