POLLS CLOSE ON NOMINATIONS FOR BEST POLITICAL FILMS OF 2001
December 31, 2001, was the last day to nominate films for Political Film Society awards. Films made outside the United States were noticeably numerous among the nominees for 2001. Two categories had more than five nominations, so the number of competing films must be reduced to five in accordance with Political Film Society rules. Newsletter #122, thus, contains two official ballots below.
There were five nominated films for the category DEMOCRACY, namely, AntiTrust, Atlantis: The Lost Empire, Bread and Roses, Lumumba, and The Majestic.
For the categoryEXPOSÉ, which recognizes the importance of raising political consciousness by bringing to light little-known facts, twelve films were nominated, so select the best five from the ballot below:

Political Film Society members must return ballots by February 1, 2002. A meeting of the Board of Directors of the Political Film Society will be convened at 8481 Allenwood Road, Los Angeles, on Saturday, February 2, 2002, at 7:00 p.m. to count ballots. All Political Film Society members are invited to the meeting.
